CKM&A's 9th Annual Winter Workshop
January 3-5, 2021

Designed to inspire and challenge professional and pre-professional dancers, the CKM&A Virtual Winter Workshop is 3 days of technique classes, and multi-disciplinary collaborative approaches that give dancers a look at the work of CKM&A. The Workshop is the perfect way to refresh your practice, get back into your body, and focus on a new year after the holidays.

This year's virtual workshop will include 3 technique classes, two by CKM&A Assistant Director Tiffanie Carson, and one by Artistic Director Christopher K. Morgan. Each technique class will culminate in phrase work from the company's repertory.
The 5:30pm sessions are inspired by our TEK / TECH series and will begin on Monday with lighting designer Peter Leibold and assistant director Tiffanie Carson, sharing tools and processes they utilize in their work merging movement and light. The Tuesday session with Projection Designer Kelly Colburn, will give participants insight into the basics of multi-media design, including her approaches for filming content on her cell phone camera, that are then utilized for full scale theatrical presentation.
Participants will be encouraged to create short film studies utilizing the movement, composition tools, lighting and film techniques learned during the workshop. These will be shared in a closed showing during the 5:30pm session on Wednesday, with feedback and an open discussion with the company.
Tuition for all SIX sessions ONLY $50
Best suited for adult pre-professional and professional dancers.
