Abby Farina

Company Dancer

 

Abby Farina (Company Dancer) grew up in Mechanicsville, Maryland. She attended Towson University and graduated summa cum laude, receiving both a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and a B.S. in Cultural Studies. While at TU, she studied under Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Runqiao Du, Vincent Thomas, and Catherine Horta-Hayden and worked with outside choreographers including Christopher K. Morgan, Trent Williams, Jr., Alia Kache and Stephanie Powell. Having the opportunity to attend several CKM&A winter and summer intensives sparked her initial interest and desire to perform with the company.

 

 

She has worked with Ballet ADI, Bowen McCauley Dance, Orange Grove Dance, and S.J. Ewing & Dancers. She has performed at Dance Place, Dupont Underground, James Madison University, the Kennedy Center, Lansburgh Theatre, and the Mexican Cultural Institute in the DC area, as well as in Michigan, Ohio and New York.  She also enjoys teaching dance, and exploring the outdoors. This is Abby’s sixth season with CKM&A
