Bruised (2014)

 

Bruised, premieried at American Dance Institute, is a duet that explores the nature of impact in a world where one can so easily walk past, or even into another person without ever seeing them. Bruised features an original score and is played live by electric cellist/composer Wytold. The creation of Bruised was made possible with the support of American Dance Institute, The Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County, and CKM&A’s Hatchfund Online Fundraiser.

 

Bruised has been performed at Shakespeare Theatre in VelocityDC Dance Festival, American Dance Institute and The Alden.

Bruised was reviewed by the Washington Post as "a testosterone-fueled duet...interrupted by sudden impulses that wrenched their bodies into jagged, off-kilter shapes."
