Originally from Allentown, PA, KerryLyn began studying dance at Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, PA under the direction of Kimberly Maniscalco. During her formative years she studied at the Governors School for the Arts and Bates Dance Festival. She received her B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2014, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earning the Terpsichore Dance Award and the Deans Undergraduate Award. She had the pleasure of working under Tiffanie Carson, Maurice Fraga, Erica Helm, Ting-Yu Chen, Linda Miller, as well as guest artist Mike Esperanza and Jaime Drye. Upon graduation, she’s performed with Ekilibre Dance Company, Motion X Dance DC, JChen Projects, former Lehrer Dance, and as part of the National Tours Number in the Gypsy of the Year Competition for Broadway Cares. She has been exploring her own choreography and teaching techniques since 2008 performing in NYC and Philadelphia choreography showcases. KerryLyn is certified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates. During her time in the DMV area, she plans to continue to collaborate, create and perform in order to inspire and heal through dance. KerryLyn is excited to be working with CKM&A for this upcoming season at Dance Place.
