Christopher K. Morgan & Artists seeks aspiring arts administration, marketing, production management and/or dance students looking for a comprehensive view of running a small dance company for their internship program. In its ninth season, CKM&A is a dance company with a national profile, currently in process of developing and premiering a new work by Morgan, Native Intelligence/Innate Intelligence, in the upcoming 2019-2020 season.

 

Requirements

• Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated individuals.

• 8 -10 hours per week available to commit to the company.

• Interns usually have one weekly in office meeting with Company Manager at Dance Place & remote work.

• A computer or access to a computer is necessary for remote work.

• Knowledge of Word and Excel.

• Experience on Social Media Platforms: Facebook and Instagram

• Schedule fluctuates during CKM&A productions and events.

Description

Interns will work directly with the Artistic Director, Assistant Director, and Company Manager. Opportunities for free dance classes (when the company is in session), college credit and a stipend are provided. Interns gain experience in various aspects of the organization, including:

• Production assistance

• Marketing

• Tour support

• Data collection and archiving

• Fundraising projects and events planning
