Robert is originally from Sewanee, Tennessee and has trained at The University of the North Carolina School of the Arts, Ballet Austin, The School at Jacob’s Pillow, and The Boston Conservatory. He holds an MFA from the University of Michigan and is the mother of haus of bambi (hausofbambi.com), a dance and film company based in Washington, DC. He has performed in New York City with Christopher Williams, Ishmael Houston-Jones, Company XIV, and Gillian Walsh as well as in DC with PrioreDance and Company E. Robert was named one of Dance Magazine’s “Best of 2012” for his solo Six Movements to the Music of Nicki Minaj and is the 2019 recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Local Dance Commissioning Project. He currently teaches at American University and Joy of Motion Dance Center, and this is his first performance with CKM&A!
